2016 Africa Youth Awards – See How to Vote

The Africa Youth Awards are the continent’s highest coveted awards for young achievers and changemakers. The prestigious award was established in 2014 to address the challenges facing youth in Africa and to encourage young Africans who are selflessly committed to ensuring that Africa’s future remains bright.




The nominated candidates advanced to the final stages following an official announcement and unveiling of their names on December 7, 2016. Likewise, the 18-category platform was opened to the public for voting.

Voting took place until December 28th at www.africayouthawards.org/vote.

The Africa Youth Awards, held in partnership with the African Youth Commission, Avance Media, Global Skills Exchange, My Naija Naira and Dream Ambassadors Foundation GH, was hosted at the Heads of State Summit in Addis Ababa with a panel of judges from a range of non-profit organizations and companies.




Since its inception, the organization has received strong endorsements and positive accolades from international and continental mega-organizations around the world.

To its credit, the Africa Youth Awards have helped young African youth who have excelled in various endeavors become a leading light in their various countries. Previous winners of this magnificent award include: Kelvin Macharia Kuria, Umar Krupp, Aschisch Thakkar, Richard Paa Kofi Botchway, Sara Nana Yeboah, Ayachbi, CyrilleGuel, Ahmed Adamu and Bitania Lulu Berhanu.
