SEPTEMBER IS A MONTH OF NEW BEGINNINGS. NEW CLASSES, NEW CLASSMATES AND A NEW UNIVERSITY COURSE. FOR THIS REASON, FROM THE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY WE WANT TO EXPAND THE NEWS AND WE PROPOSE ONE MORE, OUR VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES!
We are very aware that there are still vulnerable groups that, due to the economic and social crisis caused by COVID-19, have seen their needs have increased and do not have the resources to face them. For this reason, we are committed to volunteering to respond to people who experience this situation in the face of this new course.
From the European University we have decided to adapt to these circumstances not only with a new academic model of HyFlex Experiential Learning, but also with a new volunteer format.
The volunteer virtual is our priority. Connect from our homes with those organizations with which we collaborate, give assistance and support in a way that takes care of health, both ours and volunteers, as well as that of the beneficiaries.
We connect with the other part of the world through the editing of videos for the education of women and girls in Burkina Faso and giving school reinforcement to children from Kenya, Panama, Guatemala and Nicaragua, contributing to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 4 . We also design gender awareness material ( SDG 5 ) and develop teaching units on it.
And as one of our main objectives is to promote a quality education, we offer the opportunity to provide virtual accompaniment to minors, giving school support and creating links. Although, if as a volunteer what you want is to travel from your home without having to travel, now you can collaborate by doing so through the “Cultivate culture, share culture” activity . A virtual trip in which to share with people with different abilities the characteristics of the different countries in which the activity is centered.
If you are already a volunteer, we encourage you to tell us about your experience and be part of our Blog and, if you are not yet, what are you waiting for?
